Do you supervise trainees at the University of Ottawa?
The CNFS-Volet Université d'Ottawa offer a program for supervisors who work with students that are registered in CNFS designated programs at the University of Ottawa.
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM’S GOAL?
The program aims to highlight your contribution to the academic community by awarding you ECCUs (Equivalencies for contribution to colleges and universities) based on activities in which you choose to participate.
HOW DO I COLLECT ECCUs?
IT IS QUITE SIMPLE TO EARN ECCUs, CLICK ON ONE OF THE BUTTONS BELOW TO COMPLETE THE FORM!
When you participate in supervisory and training activities, you may collect ECCUs.
CAN I ASK FOR ECCUs RELATED TO MY PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES?
Yes. You can request that activities in which you took part over the last five years to be recognized by completing the form for obtaining ECCUS, thus gaining ECCUs retroactively.
WHY ACCUMULATE ECCUs?
The number of ECCUs collected will grant you a formal title, attested by a certificate, as well as further privileges.
National Review of the Recognition Program for Supervisor's Contribution to the Academic Community
Following are some of the benefits associated with attaining each of the formal titles:
- A certificate attesting the title achieved, and related privileges
- Opportunity to take part in an evening of recognition, where honorary plaques will be awarded*
- Article published in the National Review: Mastering the Art of Supervision, highlighting the accomplishments of Master supervisors
*for those who have reached the Master level on March 1st of the current year
